[Game lore] Escaped beasts

Wednesday, 14th september 1994. I'm writing later than usually. Things are not sounding good. I'm hearing about sightings of monsters in the city center. Did they get past the barrier? Were the Verbannte finally beaten at the border? Is this the end for all of us? It cant be. I heard they had crazy high end technology. I doubt any monster no matter how small or big is actually gonna get past the barrier. Or did some monsters actually escape the underground? I doubt that too, since theyre afraid of light, or atleast thats what the people here in the bunker tell me. They could be wrong though, mutations are not uncommon in these monsters and ive heard some monsters have evolved a lot in just a couple of generations. Those monsters breeding, yuck, i cant think of how that would even look like. But yeah, maybe some of them actually escaped and got used to the outside, you can never know. I just hope they wont come to our village, that would be really bad, the Eight dont even stand a chance against them.
