[Game lore] Strange signals from the east

Monday 12th. 1994. A new week. Picked up signals from the east. The reactor? Cant be, its supposed to be dead. Or what fool would wander there without protection? We are the only village through this part of Stuttwald towards the reactor. Nobody would be stupid enough to wander east towards the reactor through the north radiation patch or the south forest. I didnt see anyone pass by here either since i moved here, just us fools in this bunker here and the Eight. Someone came from the underground? Im pretty sure theyre just rumors but did someone really find a way through the tunnels to the reactor? How do you even see anything down there? Cant be anyone else than the Verbannte, but i doubt theyre foolish enough to venture through the tunnels. Someone new? Cant be. I will keep listening and if i hear something more ill write it down again.
